A new champion has joined the World Friendship Games Ambassadors team. As part of the events held during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the World Friendship Games Organising Committee introduced a new Games Ambassador, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion in Artistic Gymnastics, Honoured Master of Sports of Russia Nikita Nagornyy.

“Nagornyy is an amazing athlete and an Olympic champion. We are glad that Nikita is ready to dedicate his energy and efforts to promoting the World Friendship Games. I do believe that our hard work will enable us to hold a wonderful multi-sport event,” said Alexey Sorokin, CEO of the World Friendship Games Organising Committee, as he presented a certificate of honour to the new member of the Games Ambassador team.

“It is a great honour for me to be an Ambassador of the World Friendship Games. On behalf of the athletes, I would like to say that our greatest motivation of all is to keep competing and participating in international sports events. We will do our best to make the World Friendship Games a spectacular success,” Nagornyy said.
